An ode to Konkan

This post is dedicated to all my fav. destination- needless to say- Konkan.
This poem is also specially written for Manmit on his request for a post on my blog.

The poem gives Manmit plenty of scope for criticizing 😉 ,but just remember the fact Bambya that I have written it in just 15 mins after returning from work at 3 am…

For the past 2-3 weeks I have been thinking of just one thing..and thats another trip to Konkan..

Konkan

I often think I have some past-life connection,
With the virgin beaches of Konkan.

A place where life budges in slow motion,
And I simply love to experience this state of complete peace and serenity,
As I am tempted to loose myself in this tranquility

I crave to glaze the vanishing evening sun,
enjoy our thoughtless expressions,
And finally feel the wordless departing emotion .

I yearn for another trip to this heaven.
I miss my Konkan!
I miss my Konkan!

Oops I did it again!

Monday was a special day in my life. We (Mom,dad and myself) went to Alibaug and Nagoan beaches in our Maruti 800. It was special bcos probably it was for the first time that only 3 of us were out for a trip since most of the time its with Kaka, Mama or some relative. We started off late by 9 am ,completed breakfast at Joshi Wadewale by 9 45 and reached Khopoli via the Khopoli Exit on Pune-Mumbai expressway by 11. And after a 30 km atrocious patch till Pen managed to reach Alibaug by 1. We departed Alibaug at 6,but not before an awesome Konkan cuisine and an evening stroll by the beach watching the sunset. The picture is of Anjarale Beach clicked by me in one of my trip to Konkan and not of my yesterday’s trip.
